The Sierra Gives Us Everything
Its Time We Give Back
2025 Earth Month Campaign
The Sierra Nevada isn’t just a breathtaking landscape—it’s California’s life source. It fuels 60% of our state’s water supply, sustains countless wildlife species, and provides critical carbon storage to fight climate change. But the threats facing this region have never been greater.
During Earth Month 2025, we invite you to take a stand for the Sierra. We have one shot to turn this around—and it starts with people like you.
With climate change accelerating and policies rolling back critical protections, we are at a cross roads. The Sierra’s water, wildlife, and forests are at risk like never before. Recent environmental rollbacks have weakened protections for our forests, waterways, and public lands.
Help the Sierra Nevada Alliance fight for protections, restore damaged ecosystems, and mobilize communities to defend our lands. Every dollar will go directly toward:
- Restoring forests and watersheds devastated by drought and wildfire
- Protecting wildlife and habitats from reckless development
- Fighting for policies that defend the Sierra from exploitation

The Sierra Nevada is rich in natural resources. It produces 60% of California's water supply and supplies the state with 50% of its hydroelectric energy. Wildlife and biodiversity is abundant with 3,500 plant, 572 animal, and 321 aquatic species. Despite the incredible importance of the Sierra's contributions to California Ecosystems, the region lacks the resources and funds necessary to protect and restore the natural ecosystem. We need your help to protect it!
